After many years of representing our community, the Sylvan Park sign that sits at the intersection of 46th Avenue N and Park Avenue in Richland Park is in need of replacement. The Sylvan Park Neighborhood Association has undergone a thorough process of soliciting design bids and discussing options at neighborhood meetings, and plans are now underway to build a new Sylvan Park sign. See photos of the old sign and the new version that will soon be in place below.
The new sign design was created by long-time Sylvan Park resident Chris Veit. Materials to be used for the project include rusted aluminum, a black metal beam, and a stone column, which will allow consistency with other signage throughout Sylvan Park. All of the approvals and permissions are now in place to proceed with the project, and we anticipate that the new sign (which will sit just a few feet north of the current sign) will be installed this summer!
