  • 1) Join the Sylvan Park Neighborhood Association (SPNA)

Since 1984, SPNA has been the collective community voice for addressing neighborhood issues such as zoning and development, traffic calming, safety, and neighborhood beautification. We sponsor a variety of social events throughout the year such as 4th of July festivities, Night Out Against Crime, and a neighborhood yard sale. We foster open communication between our members and local business operators and politicians by inviting them to speak, provide updates, and answer members' questions. New residents are greeted by our Welcoming Committee with information about our community. In addition, we use the neighborhood newsletter, website, and the SPNA Facebook and Nextdoor accounts to keep our neighbors informed.

    2) Join Nextdoor

Our neighborhood has an extremely active online community on Nextdoor, a private social network where neighbors can buy/sell goods, get business recommendations and experiences, share news and emergency alerts, and so much more.
